Usually, passengers are not thrilled when they get the news that their flights are going to be delayed. Nobody wants to be late from the plans that they have made.
But the Alaska Airlines thought that if they would delay their flight from Anchorage on Tuesday March, 8, 2016, the passengers would love it.
The plane that is bound to Honolulu had a spectacular view of the full solar eclipse that is something unusual. Their timing was just perfect and the passengers truly loved it.
Joe Rao knew that the Flight 870 would pass right through the view of the totality. But the flight was 25 minutes early so they decided to delay the flight. He booked a window seat to see the eclipse.
